Technical Meeting for May 2026
Quarterly BIC Technical Meeting — 26 May 2026, 11am (Canberra time)
Our next Technical Meeting will cover the key regulatory and advocacy areas BIC has been actively working on, with important updates across several areas directly impacting your operations.
The session will cover:
+ Fuel update — diesel sulphur standards and BIC’s industry position
+ New Bus Safety Working Group — laminated side windows, child seatbelt adjusters, seatbelt orientation and door safety
+ ADR updates — Lane Departure Warning (ADR 99), AVAS testing and Opt-In compliance deadlines (expiring June–December 2026)
+ ADR Harmonisation — national fire standards (UNECE R118) and cyber security (UNECE R155 & R156) + TfNSW Standards — Fire Safety (TS 00013) and Asset Assurance (TS 00024) + Mass and Dimensional reform — lobbying update
