Practitioner Assist Service

“The Office of Fair Work Ombudsman has invited APTIA to join their new service to be called the “Practitioner Assist Service”. The new expanded service will provide specialised assistance to workplace relations practitioners on the full range of modern award and related issues as a replacement for their ‘Transition Assist’ service. This service was previously set up to provide specialist help to Registered Organisations, such as APTIA, on transitional arrangements in modern awards. The new name ‘Practitioner Assist Service’ was chosen as it better reflected what the service actually does.

The Office of Fair Work Ombudsman has indicated that their aim is to respond to any enquiry that they receive within 15 days of receipt. The request will be acknowledged within 2 days and regular updates provided.

The Office of Fair Work Ombudsman has also offered to APTIA members training on the best ways to use their onsite calculation tools (PayCheck Plus).

APTIA supports the initiative of the OFWO. If you have an issue which needs some formal clarification we recommend that you complete the ‘APTIA Enquiry Form’ and return it to APTIA and the request will be sent to OFWO for a formal response. You may have an employment issue or an employee who is troubling you or you may have an industrial matter which you think can be avoided if only you knew the best way to approach the problem. Hopefully this service, provided through APTIA, can help to save you the inevitable costs of waiting too long to resolve an issue.

There is no costs associated for the use of this service for, either APTIA members, or members of State Associations, that are members of APTIA.
